An Analytical Study of a Group of Gypsum Boards from the City of Samarra Preserved in the Iraqi Museum (Selected Samples)

The study of the stucco (gypsum board) decorative elements city Samarra revealed that it included three artistic styles were classified and named by archaeologists specialists as follows: (the first style, second third style). Each these has its own decoration’s marked their appearance. Others continued to appear in two or although decorations influenced local foreign arts took many from them; but they characterized Islamic character quickly taken natural form.The reliance on classification division models was based technical foundations followed specialists, accompanied temporal aspect which accurate criterion arrangement despite fact convergence overlap between them some extent time.
